I was sitting on the couch nearing the end of January 2007 finishing off my last handful of chex mix when something hit me and I realized “Okay, I really need to put an end to this horrible habit, but I need help”. I think I was nearing 180 lbs so I started to explore all my options: diets, gyms, trainers, even surgery. I began my journey into the wonderful world of trainers. I finally made a commitment to try out this “personal training” experience and bought a package at an un-named private fitness gym. I was so excited to finally start getting motivated and shedding the pounds. I showed up for my first training appointment, had a pretty decent session and then at my next session found out from the owner that my trainer had personal issues and would not be back. There were many other incidences that interfered with my ability to be trained at this gym that I decided that this personal training thing wasn’t for me. In fact, I thought to myself, being thinner and working out was obviously not meant to be for me either. I certainly lost all my motivation to try and all my hope that working out would work.

It had been awhile since the last session, I was still overweight and the weight wasn’t going anywhere, so I decided to go gym shopping. I knew I needed to do something at least for my kids. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but there was something different about The Gridiron that I liked so I decided to join. I was now a member for the first time at a gym, but I just still couldn’t muster the interest to go. But then, I was introduced to Traci. To be honest, I wasn’t so motivated yet, because I just knew that this would be a waste of my time. Boy was I wrong. She genuinely cared about my goals and interests and met with me numerous times outside of our training sessions to check in with me, demonstrate alternative options of work outs, created schedules, and discussed nutritional options to demonstrate her commitment to my weight loss and healthy lifestyle. In between sessions if I needed that extra support, she provided it with a text message or phone call without any hesitation. I finally started to enjoy the working out experience. In my opinion, I don’t think I was such an easy client either, with all my complaining during sessions and frequent bouts of giving up, she persistently stated “You could do it, Denise”, and really believed in me. My commitment became easier and easier, especially since I started to see results within the first few weeks. She made the work outs fun and interesting. I now go to the gym on a daily basis, ride my bike about 13 miles a day, and watch my portion control and food choices. Traci completely transformed my body and taught me ways to continue to enhance this transformation.

To date, I’ve lost 16 inches altogether and 33 pounds. I could not have done this without Traci’s excellent training skills, genuine support, and motivation. Thank you so much Traci for helping me look better, feel better, and have confidence again. I would recommend you without any hesitation. You are the real deal.

I have struggled with weight since I was nine years old. It was like at age eight I was normal; age nine -- fat. Where I would like to be, and what I am told is a healthy weight for my age, is 185 or 190 pounds. My BMI is supposed to be 24 or 25, but is more like 30.

Nobody but me can make it happen. Here to i struggle to get motivated to exercise. I see some of the results and it makes me happy. then if I get distracted and get off schedule I lose focus and don't do it anymore. What a yo-yo.
